ROANOKE, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The U.S. Army has awarded ITT Exelis (NYSE: XLS) two additional orders for image intensifier (I²) tubes and night vision goggles under the OMNI VIII contract.
On February 28, the U.S. Army increased the quantity of the original MX-11769 (I²) tube order that was awarded to Exelis last month, to include an additional 500 tubes for AN/PVS-14 night vision monocular devices. Exelis also received an additional delivery order; a Foreign Military Sales order to provide 34 AN/PVS-7 and 14 AN/PVS-14 night vision goggles to an international customer. The U.S. Army’s Research, Development, Engineering Command Acquisition Center issued the order.
