Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/965d1a89/vodafone_new_zeala) has announced the addition of the "Vodafone New Zealand" company profile to their offering.
Vodafone NZ is just managing to remain as the country's largest mobile network operator providing voice, data and value-added mobile services. By late 2011 BuddeComm estimates that its market share is still around 48% with final subscriber numbers for end-2011 around the same number as at end-2008.
The company also provides fixed-line voice and data services following its acquisition of ISP, ihug. Vodafone NZ operates a 3G HSPA network and a 2G network both with 97% population coverage. The company is also pursuing a wholesale strategy to support mobile virtual network operators as well as providing wholesale fixed-line voice and broadband products via local loop unbundling.
The company has MVNO agreements with several companies including providing 3G services to TelstraClear on a wholesale basis and a roaming agreement with 2degrees in the New Zealand market. In late 2011 MVNO CallPlus is changing from Vodafone to the WCDMA service from Telecom.
