NEW ORLEANS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Independent investment bank Global Hunter Securities today announced that it has expanded its Energy Research Team to include the Midstream and Master Limited Partnerships with Bernard L. Colson as a Director and Senior Energy Infrastructure Analyst. With this addition, GHS adds an important component to the oil and gas value chain.

Mr. Colson joins GHS with more than 15 years of experience in the financial services industry. He has covered numerous companies, especially in the energy infrastructure sector, on both the buy side and sell side and has extensive knowledge of the pre-IPO market. Immediately prior to joining Global Hunter, Mr. Colson was Executive Director – Equity Research Analyst at Oppenheimer & Co., where he covered Energy Infrastructure. Prior to Oppenheimer, Mr. Colson spent almost 10 years on the buy side at Tortoise Capital Advisors, Waddell & Reed Investment Management and Citigroup Asset Management. His career has been devoted to equity research analysis of the energy value chain and has included companies from oil & gas producers to electric utilities.
Mr. Colson holds an MBA from the University of Michigan Business School and a bachelor’s degree from Yale University.
