NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The editors of Thomson Reuters’ Buyouts Magazine, Venture Capital Journal and peHUB.com are pleased to announce the inaugural PartnerConnect 2012 Conference, to be held April 3-5, 2012, in the historic Park Avenue Armory in New York City.
The new PartnerConnect Conference is the first of its kind and combines conference efforts from the company’s Buyouts brand, with those from its Venture Capital Journal brand. The result is one marquee event set to draw close to a thousand investment professionals to the 55,000-square-foot Park Avenue Armory for three days of networking, best practice sharing and keynote speakers.
“We have been thrilled with the interest and excitement this conference has generated in the private investment community so far,” said Jim Beecher, Publisher, Thomson Reuters. “Buyouts started the original private equity conference more than 22 years ago. Now we have created the PartnerConnect 2012 conference to provide the private equity and venture capital community with a new and efficient forum in which to grow their networks, attract capital and source deals. Our goal is to bring together GPs, LPs, bankers, lenders and entrepreneurs for 3 event-filled days in an effort to facilitate relationships, promote idea-generation and put deals on the table for our attendees.”
The conference program includes an unparalleled lineup of industry-leading keynote speakers such as:
- Henry Kravis, Co-Chairman and Co-CEO of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts
- Timothy C. Draper, Co-Founder of Draper Fisher Jurvetson
- Bennett J. Goodman, Senior Managing Director, The Blackstone Group and Founder of GSO Capital Partners
- Erik Hirsch, CIO of Hamilton Lane
- Jonathan Nelson, CEO of Providence Equity
- Kelly M. Williams, Global Head, Customized Fund Investment Group, Credit Suisse
- Mark W. Yusko, CEO & Chief Investment Officer, Morgan Creek Capital Management.
In addition over 200 senior-level professionals from leading firms will speak on nearly 50 panels. To see a full list of speakers and panelists, please visit the conference website at www.partnerconnectevents.com.
The PartnerConnect 2012 conference is structured to ensure attendees connect with the right people. The event will feature three hosted and facilitated events aimed at connecting attendees in efficient and meaningful ways: ExecConnect private networking, DealConnect Private Equity Showcase, and the VConnect networking reception for the VC and Startup communities.
The ExecConnect meeting program actively arranges hundreds of one-on-one private meetings between private equity firms, LPs, lenders, and bankers who request introductions. These 20-minute meetings are pre-scheduled by conference directors amongst groups who select each other in advance, ensuring attendees meet with executives who best match their investment goals.
During the DealConnect showcase, deal sources will have the chance to meet dozens of private equity firms over food and cocktails. The firms will staff their own tables, make introductions and discuss their investment strategies with a targeted group of private equity firms.
VConnect brings together VCs and the CEOs of blue-chip startup companies from notable accelerator programs such as Dogpatch Labs, 500 Startups and TechStars for a focused networking reception.
