Research and Markets: Hierarchically Structured Porous Materials: From Nanoscience to Catalysis, Separation, Optics, Energy, and Life Science

DUBLIN--()--Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/ffb8e3/hierarchically_str) has announced the addition of John Wiley and Sons Ltd's new book "Hierarchically Structured Porous Materials: From Nanoscience to Catalysis, Separation, Optics, Energy, and Life Science" to their offering.

This first book devoted to this hot field of science covers materials with bimodal, trimodal and multimodal pore size, with an emphasis on the successful design, synthesis and characterization of all kinds of hierarchically porous materials using different synthesis strategies. It details formation mechanisms related to different synthesis strategies while also introducing natural phenomena of hierarchy and perspectives of hierarchical science in polymers, physics, engineering, biology and life science.

Examples are given to illustrate how to design an optimal hierarchically porous material for specific applications ranging from catalysis and separation to biomedicine, photonics, and energy conversion and storage.

With individual chapters written by leading experts, this is the authoritative treatment, serving as an essential reference for researchers and beginners alike.

Authors:

Professor Bao-Lian Su is director of the Chemistry Department, Director of the Research Centre for Nanomaterials Chemistry (CNANO), and Director of the Laboratory of Inorganic Materials Chemistry at the University of Namur, where he has been a faculty member since 1995. Prior to that he was Project Leader at Catalytica Inc. in the USA. He is also Changjiang Chair visiting Professor of the Education Ministry of China and selected as 'the Expert of the State of China' in the frame of 'Thousands Talents Program'.

Prof. Clement Sanchez is Director of Research at the French Council Research (CNRS), Director of The 'Laboratoire de Chimie de la Matiere Condensee de Paris' at the University of Pierre and Marie Curie, Paris, and Head of the Nanochemistry Division in the Cnano Ile de France. He specializes in the field of nanochemistry and physical properties of nanostructured porous and non-porous transition metal oxide based gels and porous and non-porous hybrid organic inorganic materials shaped as monoliths, microspheres and films.
