TOKYO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--In recent years, many young families in Japan have started raising children together in cooperation with neighboring friend families. They go out together, share purchased products, and enjoy their life together. Toyota Ractis is a compact car with a large luggage space that is perfect for such Japanese families of today.
Toyota Ractis produced a giant "claw crane game" and held a big event with it on October 8 (Sat), 2011 at Roppongi Hills in Tokyo, the capital of Japan. The aim of the event, which multiple families could enjoy together through cooperation, was to spread the idea that Ractis is "a brand for the families of today."
Approximately the size of a three-floor building, the "giant claw crane game" was 9 meters high, 12.1 meters wide, and 13.3 meters depth and required multiple people to operate. This meant that multiple people would work together to capture a giant stuffed animal. We are currently applying for a Guinness World Record for the world's largest claw crane game.
Over 350 families participated in this giant claw crane game event. The families worked together to capture the giant stuffed animals. They were then asked to load the stuffed animals onto the luggage compartment of Ractis to experience its spaciousness firsthand.
A video documenting the event is available on You Tube and the website. It has been played over 1.2million times in three months.
