RESTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Software AG today announced it has appointed Paul Orme-Smith as CEO North America for its fully-owned subsidiary, Software AG USA, Inc., headquarted in Reston, Virginia. The company also named him a member of the Group Executive Board. This move reflects the vital importance of North American operations to Software AG as the company increases its investments in the USA.
Among the key initiatives for Orme-Smith is the expansion of Software AG’s presence and customer base on the West Coast. With leadership abilities spanning nearly two decades with Software AG, Orme-Smith was most recently President North America Sales and now adds CEO and board member to his credentials. Prior to those appointments he was Senior Vice President of Sales responsible for the field sales force focused on Adabas and Natural customers throughout the U.S.
