FAIRFAX, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ICF International (NASDAQ:ICFI), a leading provider of consulting services and technology solutions to government and commercial clients, has been awarded a re-compete contract by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to support its efforts to remove barriers to clean energy investments by clean energy program administrators, including investor-, publicly-, or cooperatively-owned utilities; municipals; cooperatives; state and local governments; third-party administrators; and other key stakeholders. The contract has a value of $6 million and a term of one base year and four option years.
Under the contract, ICF will work with five EPA initiatives—ENERGY STAR® Program, State and Local Climate and Energy Program, State and Utility Regulation and Clean Energy efforts, Green Power Partnership, and Combined Heat and Power Partnership—to develop a portfolio of cost-effective clean energy solutions across residential, commercial, industrial, and municipal sectors.
“We are excited that EPA desires our continued support for this important clean energy policy and implementation work,” said Robin Clark, senior vice president for ICF International. “The ICF team brings national thought leadership and demonstrated success in energy efficiency and clean energy initiatives helping EPA and its partners meet the evolving demands of the clean energy marketplace.”
ICF has continuously supported EPA on this work since 2006, including recruiting new partners and expanding their voluntary partnerships; increasing climate change messaging in clean energy programs; increasing the number and quality of ENERGY STAR programs offered; and coordinating between utilities and industry to remove barriers to energy efficiency. ICF’s role also will include policy analysis, technical analysis and training, development of informational and educational materials, tracking and monitoring of partner activities, and meeting support and logistics needs.
