OULU, FINLAND & SARATOGA, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Codenomicon, the leading vendor of proactive security solutions today announced its 10th consecutive year of growth and 13th consecutive profitable quarter. Codenomicon finished their 10 year anniversary with record sales and revenues, with the fastest increase in APAC. Global annual growth of 38% is derived from the expanding needs of current and new customers, both large and small, combined with new products and innovative security testing tools.
Codenomicon pioneered the security test automation market with its launch of the first commercial fuzzing platform in 2001 and has maintained rapid growth ever since. Codenomicon's sales and revenues have both tripled over the past four years. The fastest growth over the past four years has been in EMEA with almost 400% growth, averaging in 50% annual growth. During 2011, North America quickly caught up with 59% growth making it again the biggest market for Codenomicon fuzzing tools. Expanded presence through new offices in Asia-Pacific resulted in 139% year on year sales growth during last year.
"Year 2011 was exciting with several new international offices, over 50% growth in personnel, and significant growth in new markets such as cyber-defense and user groups such as incident response teams," says David Chartier CEO of Codenomicon. "We also had several record sales deals in all parts of the world, demonstrating how the fuzzing market is becoming more mature year by year," he continues.
The newest and most interesting technologies involve test tools for wireless communications, smart devices, cloud computing, and recent Testing-as-a-Service (Taas) solution called Fuzz-o-Matic. New fuzzing products released in 2011 included Defensics X and Universal Fuzzer, both of which were enthusiastically received by both current and new customers.
Codenomicon expanded into new markets with the recent acquisition of Clarified Networks. The acquisition brought along a comprehensive set of situational awareness products for visualizing network abuse such as spam and malware, detecting anomalies in critical server logs, network traffic-flows, and critical infrastructure data.
Codenomicon also announced a revisit in the services portfolio by adding new testing, auditing and training services which help customers build security into their products and processes. In other news, internationally renowned security expert and recognized author Ira Winkler joined Codenomicon's management team.
