MIAMI--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Alkalife, the leading provider of alkaline dietary supplements and the company behind the original pH booster drops, today announced that Peter Whang has joined the company as chief research and development officer. Peter is the youngest son of scientist and inventor Sang Whang who founded Alkalife in 1992 after developing the company’s original patented formula for its flagship product. Sang Whang passed away in January 2011.
“Peter and his father worked very closely for years in preparation for an eventual transition to lead the company,” said Josephine Gordy, Alkalife’s current president. “It was his father’s vision that Peter would join Alkalife and continue to magnify the science and the legacy of his life’s work. In addition to Mr. Whang, Jose Fernandez joins the company as president and chief executive officer, Jorge Sandrini joins as chief marketing officer, Richard Natrillo joins as executive vice president of business development, and Steve Whang joins as director of client relations.
As former partners of LAHC Inc., a global technology company serving professional service firms, Mr. Whang and Mr. Fernandez bring extensive knowledge in leading organizations in growth of operations. Mr. Whang led R&D projects at LAHC and brings extensive technical knowledge to Alkalife. His primary function will be to continue the development of innovative health supplement products that will benefit individuals from the young to the elderly. Mr. Fernandez brings more than a decade of experience as chief operations officer of LAHC, and his primary focus will include leading the company’s growth and innovation strategy while guiding the introduction of new product lines.
Jorge Sandrini, Richard Natrillo and Steve Whang collectively bring substantial marketing, sales and customer service knowledge to Alkalife. Since 2007, Mr. Sandrini led all marketing programs and initiatives at LAHC Inc. as global director of marketing. Mr. Sandrini will assume leadership of all marketing strategy and product branding programs at Alkalife. Mr. Natrillo is a long-time veteran of the computer imaging industry, most recently serving as president and chief executive officer of ImageShare Corp. He will be primarily responsible for developing the company’s North American sales distribution strategy. Steve Whang will serve as director of client relations and will be primarily focused on continuing to develop existing client relationships. He will also serve as a representative to Alkalife customers in countries around the world. Steve Whang is the eldest son of Sang Whang.
