SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Hortonworks, a leading contributor to Apache Hadoop projects, today announced that Paul Cormier has joined the company’s board of directors. As a pivotal member of the open source community for more than 20 years, Cormier will assist the company to accelerate the adoption of Apache Hadoop.
In his current role as President, Products and Technologies at Red Hat, the world's leading provider of open source solutions, Cormier leads engineering and the product business units. Cormier's leadership and experience in enterprise technology led to the introduction of Red Hat's acclaimed line of enterprise products, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux. With a wealth of experience building enterprise-class open source software, he brings unique insight and guidance that will help Hortonworks grow the Apache Hadoop ecosystem.
