Clinton County Chooses CODY System’s Public-Safety Software for Real-time Information Sharing Project

Public-safety software vendor to provide real-time records management and sharing among all law enforcement agencies in the county

POTTSTOWN, Pa.--()--CODY Systems, a nationwide leader in public-safety software, today announced that Clinton County, PA, has chosen CODY’s real-time records and information-sharing platform to fulfill the Law Enforcement Interoperability and Communications Project, set forth by the county with the mission of providing enhanced data management and interoperability software to municipal, county, and university law enforcement agencies within the county.

The CODY suite of public-safety software purchased by the county includes CODY Records, CODY Mobile Office and C.tac 5, a .NET, browser-based rich client, for all agencies in the county running on a centralized C.O.B.R.A. real-time tactical information-sharing platform. C.tac 5 provides one-stop search results of all agency RMS databases, as well as other foreign data sources, all in a fully encrypted and secure network environment. C.tac 5 is already arming law enforcement agents with instant mobile and in-house access to real-time RMS information from across jurisdictions, regardless of RMS vendor.

“Our core mission at CODY is officer safety,” said Fran Heffner, chief executive officer of CODY Systems. “We take pride in knowing that we create technology that provides officers with access to data in seconds, allowing them to be prepared for the dangerous situations they encounter daily. We are also very excited to be providing several agencies within the county with their first-ever automated records system. We take this role seriously and with pride, and look forward to cultivating a great relationship with the county.”

Already deployed at over 200 sites nationwide, including large county and state-wide installations, C.O.B.R.A.’s unique real-time translation and synchronization with no commingling of agencies’ information, coupled with the instant in-house and mobile access to real-time RMS information from across jurisdictions that C.tac 5 provides, will arm agencies within Clinton County with up-to-the-second information at the station or in their mobile units, keeping their officers safer on the streets.

Further, with the inclusion of CODY Records and Mobile Office all running on the C.O.B.R.A. platform, all agencies will be able to take advantage of CODY’s fully integrated “records anywhere” RMS solution for more efficient, intelligence-led policing, better management of resources, greatly enhanced incident, statistical and investigative reporting, and more.

Clinton County is located in north-central Pennsylvania and covers nearly 900 square miles with a population of almost 40,000. The CODY RMS and CODY Mobile Office products, along with C.O.B.R.A., will create a BASLE (Better Automation and Sharing through Law Enforcement) system which will replace the outdated systems at work at many of the agencies, It will also provide the first RMS system for several of the agencies in the county.
