ICMA Recognizes Top Performers on Certified Management Accountant (CMA) Exam

Accountants with CMA Credential Enjoy Greater Earning Power, According to IMA’s Annual Salary Survey

MONTVALE, N.J.--()--The Institute of Certified Management Accountants (ICMA®), the certification division of IMA®, today announced the leading performers on its Certified Management Accountant (CMA®) examination, recognizing participants in both its English and Simplified Chinese exam programs.

IMA is one of the largest and most respected associations focused exclusively on advancing the management accounting profession. Its globally recognized CMA program, now celebrating its 40th anniversary, is a relevant assessment of advanced accounting and financial management knowledge. The CMA assures employers that an individual has mastered the knowledge and skills needed on the job today.

Of the approximately 4,200 individuals who took the two-part CMA exam during the September/October 2011 testing period, medals were awarded to the following individuals for their exceptional performance:

  • Wen Zhou, of Shanghai, People’s Republic of China, received the ICMA Gold Medal for achieving the highest exam score.
  • Michael Clark, of Coal Valley, Ill., received the ICMA Silver Medal for achieving the second-highest exam score.
  • Daniel A. Bennett, of Atlanta, Ga., received the ICMA Bronze Medal for achieving the third-highest exam score.

For the four-part CMA exam program in Simplified Chinese, ICMA recognized three individuals for the May-August 2011 testing period:

  • Juan Long, of Beijing, People’s Republic of China, received the ICMA Gold Medal for achieving the highest exam score.
  • Shijin Luo, of Tianjin, People’s Republic of China, received the ICMA Silver Medal for achieving the second-highest exam score.
  • Zhenyu Liu, of Beijing, People’s Republic of China, received the ICMA Bronze Medal for achieving the third-highest exam score.

In addition, for the English exam program, ICMA awarded Marc Boulet, of Miami, Fla.; Ahmet Mustafa Dag, of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; Xingxin Jiang, of Beijing, People’s Republic of China; Matthew John Sansone, of San Antonio, Texas.; Michael Wright, of Kalamazoo, Mich.; and Yue Zhai, of Hangzhou, People’s Republic of China, Certificates of Distinguished Performance for their high exam scores. Jon Hildenbrandt, of Columbia, Tenn., received the Priscilla S. Payne Student Performance Award for achieving the highest score as a student during this testing period.
