CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Huron Consulting Group (NASDAQ: HURN), a leading provider of business consulting services, today announced that Andrew Ziskind, M.D. has joined the Company as a managing director in its Huron Healthcare practice. Dr. Ziskind will lead Huron Healthcare’s Clinical solutions service line.

Dr. Ziskind joins Huron Healthcare from Accenture where he provided leadership for the Accountable Care Organization and Academic Health System practices and was a senior executive in the Health & Public Service operating group. Dr. Ziskind is an interventional cardiologist with extensive clinical and administrative experience. He has developed and led innovative primary care and specialty delivery systems. During his career, Dr. Ziskind has served as vice dean for Clinical Affairs and Health System vice president at the University of Washington, as president of Barnes-Jewish Hospital, and group president at BJC HealthCare.

Dr. Ziskind is currently an adjunct professor of medicine at Washington University in St. Louis. He received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, trained in internal medicine and cardiology at Massachusetts General Hospital, and received his masters of business administration from the Sellinger School of Business, Loyola College of Maryland.
