One Lucky Viewer Will Win the Scenic Vacation Home in Maine

NEW YORK--()--DIY Network takes “crowd sourcing” to new heights with the sixth season return of Blog Cabin,” an interactive series where all key renovation decisions are made by fans hoping to win their very own, exclusively designed vacation home. Viewers will vote on all the major design details, color palette, fixtures and amenities. The finished ultimate vacation home will be a true collaborative effort. Originally part of a working farm, this season’s home is situated on 51 acres of gorgeous riverfront property in historic Waldoboro, Maine. DIY Network’s all-star team of renovation experts are transforming an 1884 Cape style, four-bedroom, 2.5-bath, 2,500-square-foot home that boasts 450 feet of waterfront along the scenic Medomak River. “Blog Cabin” begins construction this winter through spring with input every step of the way from fans living online at DIYNetwork.com/BlogCabin. In addition to voting online for the home’s unique renovation elements, viewers can enter two “Blog Cabin” contests. One sweepstakes will award one lucky viewer the ultimate vacation dream home, the newly renovated “Blog Cabin.” Fans can also enter to win the program’s “cabin comforts” where one winner will receive a duplicate set of the amenities as featured in the “Blog Cabin.”

“Blog Cabin truly is a multi-media experience like no other,” said Ross Babbit, SVP/GM, DIY Network. “Our viewers are passionate about home improvement and love being part of the process. Blog Cabin brings all these elements together – viewers make all the key design decisions online, watch the show to see how it turns out, and then someone gets to win it!!”
