Associa’s George Skrbin and Wendy Murray Honored by the Builder’s Association of South Florida

DALLAS--()--Associa, North America’s largest community association management firm, is pleased to announce Wendy Murray and George Skrbin were both honored with the Builder’s Association of South Florida’s President’s Award at the association’s recent Installation Gala.

“Both Wendy and George are truly deserving of this prestigious award,” said Associa Regional Vice President Craig Koss. “They are both experienced and also very successful in the industry. This honor points to their leadership in the community association management industry.”

The Builder’s Association of South Florida annually welcomes its incoming President, First Vice President and newly appointed officers and board of directors to take their oaths of office during the annual Installation Gala.

Prestigious awards such as Builder of the Year, Associate of the Year, Al Singer Spirit of the Industry Award, individual President's Awards and induction into the BASF Housing Hall of Fame are presented.

The President’s Award is a special honor bestowed upon only the most deserving BASF members. Winners are said to have shown efforts that were “above and beyond” their described duties with the association.

Murray serves as Associa’s Regional Director of Marketing and Sales and is well known in the community association management industry throughout Florida. She is a licensed Community Association Manager in Florida and holds the Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) designation from the Community Associations Institute (CAI) and the FEMV designation via FEPA. Additionally, Murray serves on the BASF Board of Directors. Both Murray and Skrbin serve as Co-Chairs of the Broward BIPAC for the BASF.

Originally from North Carolina, Murray attended the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and North Carolina Central University. She relocated to Florida in 1995 and joined Associa’s Association Services of Florida in 2008. While at ASF, she received the Grassroots Warrior award from Associa PAC in 2010.

Skrbin serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Association Services of Florida. He has more than 20 years of experience in the community management industry. Skrbin began his career as a community manager in San Diego. Skrbin earned his bachelor’s degree in management from the University of Denver.
