ebrary Announces Partnership with DA Information Services

Australia’s largest locally-based academic library service supplier joins ebrary’s partners to provide e-books and research technology to the region

PALO ALTO, Calif.--()--ebrary®, a ProQuest business and leading provider of e-books and research technology, today announced it has partnered with DA Information Services, Australia’s largest locally-based academic library service supplier, to make authoritative content from leading publishers more readily and easily available to libraries in Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, and PNG. Libraries may now seamlessly integrate ebrary’s e-books into their acquisition workflow by ordering perpetual titles directly through DA Direct or their normal EDI workflow.

“With e-books becoming increasingly critical to academic research, we are pleased to offer our customers titles from ebrary, which include the vast majority of university presses and other esteemed publishers throughout the world,” said Caroline Beatty, Library Solution Strategist at DA Information Services. “In addition to the immense scope of ebrary’s content, we believe researchers will find great value in their technology, which makes discovering, using, and sharing trusted information easy and efficient.”

DA Information Services offers libraries a comprehensive collection development service with flexible profile parameters. E-preferred and e-only approval plans and blanket orders can be specified, including a hierarchy of e-book acquisition preferences. Additionally, they offer libraries a monthly New Title Alert service, which allows customers to receive relevant information via email in their specific fields of interest.

“We look forward to working with DA Information Services to meet the workflow and acquisition needs of academic libraries serving Australia, New Zealand, and the greater Oceania region,” said Matt Barnes, Vice President of Marketing at ebrary. “Partnering with DA Information Services allows ebrary to offer the market’s most comprehensive academic e-book catalogue through a vendor interface that is already familiar to a great many libraries in the region.”
