An Education in Seafood: Loch Fyne Offers Free Oysters to 21 Year Olds

LONDON--()--To celebrate its 21st birthday, Loch Fyne Restaurants www.lochfyne-restaurants.com is offering 21 year olds a taste of the good life, with an invitation to come in and enjoy a free oyster.

Loch Fyne is internationally renowned for its irresistible oysters which are in demand all over the world. The group’s Managing Director, Liz Williams, wants to give youngsters ‘coming of age’ the opportunity to taste their first oyster at one of its 42 Loch Fyne restaurants across the country.

Liz Williams, said: “Not many young people have tried oysters by the time they turn 21 and many assume they won’t like them. As we share an important birthday, we’d like to personally introduce them to the delicacy; so that the first oyster they sample is one of the very best.”

Although Loch Fyne’s roots are firmly planted in west coast of Scotland, where the business started as small roadside stall on the banks of the loch, the first restaurant south of the border was launched 21 years ago, in Nottingham. Loch Fyne has maintained a fantastic reputation over the years, with its consistently delicious, sustainably sourced fresh fish, seafood and shellfish.

Loch Fyne oysters are famous all over the world, with more than two million being harvested in its fresh waters every year.

Loch Fyne customers aged 21 will be entitled to a free oyster and will be required to show proof of age. The offer will run for one week from Saturday 19th November. Some conditions apply - please refer to http://www.lochfyne-restaurants.com/index.php?cID=166&ref_cID=1&bID=0&dd_asId=1783.
