CARMEL, Ind.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--infinias, LLC today announced the integration of the exacqVision video management system (VMS) solution by Exacq Technologies with the company’s IP based Intelli-M access control system. The integration empowers users of exacqVision to identify, view and manage video triggered by data from the Intelli-M access control system.
Leveraging a “push” based architecture and the rules engine in Intelli-M Access, user-defined rules trigger communication between the systems allowing the user to initiate recording on one or more cameras in exacqVision. Users can also configure exacqVision to reserve a panel in their display layout for video alarms from Intelli-M Access. The combination of data and video into a single platform establishes a new paradigm for access control and video management system integrations. Wayne Jared, President of infinias, explained, “Our strategy best serves the needs of the end user by pushing access control data (events and alarms) to the primary system for monitoring and managing video.”
“The integration of access control with our video management system creates a value proposition for users that exceeds the benefits of video surveillance,” notes Dave Underwood, President, Exacq Technologies. The infinias integration enables customers to monitor access control events such as “access denied,” “request to enter,” and “device tamper” with the ability to immediately view the related video to investigate or validate the activity.
