NEW YORK--()--2K Play’s Let’s Cheer™!, the first cheerleading game exclusively for Kinect™ for Xbox 360®, is now available and will have cheer enthusiasts keeping the beat, breaking a sweat, and earning spirit stars at home. Over 3.6 million people in the U.S. participate in cheerleading programs through schools, competition squads, and cheer camps.* Let’s Cheer! embodies the core elements of the sport - entertainment, rivalry, fitness, precise moves, jumps and impressive routines - all on Kinect for Xbox 360, a controller-free platform featuring full-body range of motion and voice-enabled technology. Additionally, a downloadable demo of Let’s Cheer! is now available on Xbox LIVE® Marketplace for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft.

In Let’s Cheer!, players perform authentic cheers and competitive routines choreographed by professional cheerleaders and set to iconic cheerleading songs, including “Disturbia,” “Shake it,” “Hollaback Girl” and “Mickey.” For players with fitness on their mind, Let’s Cheer! will calculate their approximate calories burned during each cheer session.** Whether on the field of a varsity football game or dancing on stage in a high-profile cheerleading competition, gamers have the opportunity to improve their skills and progress from the local level all the way to the Nationals.

Let's Cheer! on Kinect for Xbox 360 is the perfect companion for cheerleaders nationwide, as they prepare for this season’s regional competitions,” said Steve Lux, vice president of business development for 2K Play. “The unique combination of controller-free movement and voice-enabled technology creates a game experience that rewards athleticism and spirit, and provides feedback that can help improve real-world cheer skills.”

Let’s Cheer! moves include basic motions like the High V and Broken T, up to more advanced combination moves like the Blade Cap and Touchdown Sway. Players can individually test their flexibility with jumps like the Herkie and Double Hook, or team up in the cooperative two-player mode. In addition, gamers will chant out loud with Kinect for Xbox 360’s voice-enabled feature to have their spirit level judged like in a real competition. The camera functionality ensures best performers will be rewarded with an appearance on the in-game cover of American Cheerleader, the premier cheerleading magazine.

With the release of Let’s Cheer!, cheerleaders across the nation will get the chance to try out the game as it goes on tour through partnerships with leaders in the cheer industry. The tour will include the highly attended All Star Challenge: Battle Under the Big Top with American Cheerleader and the GSSA Championships with Inside Cheerleading, and approximately 50 locations under the JAM Brands umbrella including JAMfest, GLCC, Live!, Coastal, COA, America’s Best Championships, GAME DAY and The U.S. Finals.

Let’s Cheer! on Kinect for Xbox 360 was developed by 2K Play's Cat Daddy Games and is rated Everyone 10+ by the ESRB.
