MAMMOTH LAKES, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Mammoth Mountain is set to open for the season on Thursday, Nov. 10 and it’s not going to be a quiet weekend in the mountains. Featuring live performances by the Black Lips and Ra Ra Riot, this year’s Big Winter Kick-Off weekend promises to be the biggest yet.
On the mountain, skiers and riders will get the chance to check out a number of improvements for the 2011-12 season, including a new chair lift and a host of new features in the terrain park.
Off the mountain, Après options abound. In addition to full schedule of live music, film premiers, parties and DJ sets round out the weekend.
The Big Winter Kick-Off is the first of eight scheduled events in this season’s Mammoth Concert Series. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door.
