PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The ACE Group today announced the appointment of Tim O’Donnell to the position of Division President, North America Professional Lines. Based in New York City, Mr. O’Donnell will have responsibility for managing ACE’s retail and wholesale professional risk-related products and services, across the company’s North American franchises. In his capacity as North American professional lines leader, Mr. O’Donnell will report to John Lupica, Chairman, Insurance-North America, and in his role as head of the company’s retail professional risk operations, he will report to Chris Maleno, Chief Operating Officer, ACE USA.

Mr. O’Donnell’s responsibilities will encompass a broad array of management liability, professional liability and surety products, including ACE’s market-leading primary and excess directors’ and officers’ liability insurance for public, private, non-profit and financial institutions.
With more than 25 years of insurance industry experience, Mr. O’Donnell joined ACE USA in September 2003 as Executive Vice President, ACE USA Professional Risk. Prior to his tenure with ACE, Mr. O’Donnell held senior leadership positions at American International Group (AIG), serving as Regional Vice President of the New York Zone for the Domestic Brokerage Group, and President of the Financial Institution Group of National Union Insurance Group. He previously served in senior underwriting roles at several national and global carriers and brokers. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Boston College.
