CAMPBELL, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Coulomb Technologies and Car Charging Group, Inc. (OTCBB:CCGI) today announced Car Charging Group will extend their collaboration with Coulomb Technologies for their national rollout of 1000 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations powered by ChargePoint® Network. Car Charging Group has agreed to purchase and install charging stations across the United States including major metropolitan areas: New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Houston, TX, Dallas, Fort Worth, TX, Orlando, Fla., Miami, Fla. and Tampa, Fla. The agreement further expands ChargePoint Network, currently the largest network of independently owned charging stations in the world. Car Charging Group will also use ChargePoint Network cloud-based EV charging solutions to manage its national network of customers that includes: Walgreens, Central Parking, Icon Parking, Centro Properties, Laz Parking and Ace Parking.
“ChargePoint turn-key EV charging solutions provide a rapid way for Car Charging Group to get their charging station operations deployed,” said Pat Romano, president and CEO at Coulomb Technologies. “We are proud to further extend our collaboration with Car Charging Group as they continue to be a leader in the electric vehicle service provider segment.”
Coulomb’s ChargePoint cloud-based EV charging solution is effortless to deploy and maintain, and requires no IT staff. ChargePoint Service Plans include features like: 24/7 driver support, flexible pricing, automated billing, remote station upgrades and integration with existing billing and IT systems. This allows Car Charging Group to maximize parking space utilization and offer charging session reservations.
“We have a long-standing relationship with Coulomb, having already deployed charging stations on ChargePoint Network in the past 18 months,” said Michael Farkas, chief executive officer of the Miami Beach, Fla.-based Car Charging Group. “As more and more EVs arrive in US cities, the demand for infrastructure in public locations is growing. Working with ChargePoint Network gives us a simple and convenient way to provide advanced EV services to our customers. ChargePoint Network attracts the largest number of EV drivers because stations are visible to any driver who uses the driver web site, the smart phone mobile apps, or a variety of navigation systems and allows drivers to see the real-time occupancy status of stations.”
