LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Global Social Treasure Hunt. Five Cities. London West End. One hundred free night certificates. To engage and excite members around the world – and in London – in its Fast Ways to Free Stays global promotion, Hilton HHonors, the loyalty program for Hilton Worldwide’s 10 distinct hotel brands, is activating the world’s largest social media treasure hunt the week of 17 October 2011.
Over the course of five days in five different cities, HHonors will give away 500 total free night stays, redeemable at any property within the Hilton Worldwide portfolio. The social media treasure hunt celebrates the Fast Ways to Free Stays promotion, in which all members can earn double HHonors points or a free night certificate on hotel stays now through 31 December 2011.
Clues for the treasure hunt activities and locations will begin appearing this week on the Hilton HHonors Twitter handle (www.Twitter.com/HiltonHHonors) and Facebook page (www.Facebook.com/HiltonHHonors). HHonors members and treasure hunters must follow or become a fan to uncover the giveaway cities and required tasks.
After the kick-off of the treasure hunt on Monday, 17 October 2011, London will continue the “hunt” on Tuesday, 18 October 2011, at a to-be-announced London West End location. Following London, the program will continue to different cities around the world each day through the end of the week, with new tasks provided each day.
In London, as well as the other four cities, the first 100 people to correctly complete the task and find the Hilton HHonors team will be awarded with a free night certificate, redeemable at any participating property in the Hilton Worldwide portfolio of brands, including Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, Conrad Hotels & Resorts, Hilton Hotels & Resorts, DoubleTree by Hilton, Embassy Suites Hotels, Hilton Garden Inn, Hampton Hotels and Homewood Suites by Hilton.
“This global hunt gives Hilton HHonors members, followers and fans in five different cities worldwide a chance to take part in a unique event that shows that Hilton HHonors is about more than just points – it’s about the experiences we share with those around us,” said Jeff Diskin, senior vice president, global customer marketing, Hilton Worldwide.
