SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Comcast Ventures, the venture capital affiliate of Comcast Corporation (NASDAQ: CMCSA, CMCSK), today announced the appointment of Tina Warner as Head of Communications based in the firm’s San Francisco office. In this new position, Warner will lead strategic communications as well as work closely with partners and portfolio companies to drive success and growth in their marketing and branding initiatives.

Warner’s past experience as a senior communications professional with both Fortune 500 companies and nimble start-ups makes her expertise valuable to both Comcast Ventures and its roster of 50 portfolio companies in the technology sector and verticals that range from mobile to finance and entertainment.

Prior to joining Comcast Ventures, Warner served as Vice President of Communications at Chegg, Inc., a social education platform that connects students to the people and tools they need to succeed in their educational pursuits. She has also held senior-level positions with companies, including Microsoft, Match.com, Publicis and Waggener Edstrom Worldwide.
