WALTHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Red Bend Software, the market leader in Mobile Software Management (MSM) with more than 1 billion Red Bend-Enabled™ devices, today announced the successful completion of product interoperability testing with Gemalto, the world leader in digital security. Gemalto’s DM-Expert server solution is now Red Bend Certified™ and fully interoperable with Red Bend’s firmware over-the-air (FOTA) updating and device management (DM) client software.
Mobile network operators that use Gemalto’s DM-Expert server solution can now take advantage of Red Bend’s MSM solutions to manage devices remotely and deliver firmware and software updates uniformly, efficiently and securely over the air to handsets and other connected devices. Both companies’ products are fully compliant with the Open Mobile Alliance Device Management (OMA DM) standards.
Red Bend’s MSM solutions—vRapid Mobile® FOTA software and vDirect Mobile® device management client—improve the mobile user experience and reduce support costs by remotely updating device firmware with new functionality and software improvements. More than 80 companies, including 10 of the top mobile phone manufacturers and many of the world’s largest service providers, have deployed Red Bend’s software in more than 1 billion mobile devices.
Gemalto’s DM-Expert server solution provides handset’s configuration, application download and also device diagnostic capabilities, helping customer care agents rapidly solve subscriber problems by retrieving mobile status and the current configuration of a variety of connected devices.
