CHESAPEAKE, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dollar Tree, Inc. (NASDAQ: DLTR), North America's leading operator of discount variety stores selling everything for $1 or less, today announced that its Board of Directors has authorized the repurchase of an additional $1.5 billion of its common stock. Stock repurchases may be made, from time-to-time, either in the open market or through privately negotiated transactions, at management's discretion, depending on market conditions and other factors, in accordance with Securities and Exchange Commission requirements.
The Company has invested more than $1.9 billion for share repurchase since 2003, including $414.7 million in 2010 and $345.9 million in 2011, to date.
