TOKYO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--FFastFill plc, the leading provider of Software as a Service (SaaS) to the global financial marketplace, and KVH Co. Ltd., Japan's leading information delivery platform providing integrated cloud and network solutions, today announced that FFastFill has selected KVH Proximity Solutions for ultra low-latency connectivity services to exchanges in Japan as part of the FFastFill global SaaS platform. Starting in October 2011, the services will be available for Tokyo Commodity Exchange's trading system and will expand to other exchanges in subsequent phases.
Through the FFastFill global SaaS platform, traders are able to connect to multiple trading venues via either their own market access or that of other brokers. This enables clients, who may not have a specific exchange membership, to access international execution venues and multi-asset classes on FFastFill's world-class execution platform. By leveraging KVH solutions to support a full ecosystem of trading participants, FFastFill has further enhanced its services with ultra low-latency connectivity and proximity hosting with the exchanges in Japan. Moreover, KVH Facilitator Services enabled FFastFill to streamline its logistical and administrative processes with the Japanese exchanges.
Ian Kessell, Managing Director, Business Development Asia Pacific, of FFastFill said, "the KVH Proximity Solution will provide exciting opportunities for our global trading community. These connectivity services will further cement the investment we have made in the Asia Pacific region and are looking forward to working with KVH to expand the reach further still."
Dr. Zhongmin Guo, Executive Vice President, International of KVH said, "We are very pleased that FFastFill has selected KVH Proximity Solutions for the expansion of its services in Japan. By combining FFastFill's leading-edge trading applications with KVH's industry-renowned proximity services, customers will gain all the benefits of a full-featured managed platform, which is connected to a full ecosystem of exchanges, brokers, buy-side, ISVs, and market data vendors from a single location."
Combining high-speed optical fiber networks with data centers located close to major domestic exchanges, KVH proximity solutions provide a complete hosting environment well-suited for ultra low-latency trading strategies that include trading multiple venues with multiple brokers from a single location. KVH also offers ultra low-latency access over its global Ethernet network to the world's major financial centers, leveraging its own network points of presence in Singapore, Hong Kong, and Chicago, as well as its global partnership with COLT in Europe.
