United Boys and Girls Clubs of Santa Barbara County Named as 2011 Charity for Santa Barbara Concours D’elegance

Stratus Media Group to Host Weekend Events at Santa Barbara Polo and Racquet Club

SANTA BARBARA, Calif.--()--Stratus Media Group, Inc. (OTCBB:SMDI) today announced it has selected the United Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Barbara County as this year’s beneficiary of the Santa Barbara Concours d’Elegance. In addition, the Santa Barbara Chapter of UNICO, an Italian American service organization, will benefit from Concours weekend events held at the Santa Barbara Polo and Racquet Club.

Proceeds from vehicle entry fees and Vino d’Elegance ticket sales will benefit the United Boys and Girls Clubs of Santa Barbara County. Last year, the Santa Barbara Concours d’Elegance raised $8,400 for the organization through ticket sales and a silent auction held during a VIP Halloween Gala at The Savoy.

The Santa Barbara Chapter of UNICO will also be in attendance at the Santa Barbara Concours d’Elegance weekend offering authentic Italian dishes to raise money for the local Italian American community.

"Bringing people together is an important part of what we do and this includes helping children build their future,” said Jeremy Cable, Vice President of Motorsports, Stratus Media Group. “Stratus is committed to helping the community and is pleased to again make The United Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Barbara County our official charity of the Santa Barbara Concours d'Elegance."

The Santa Barbara Concours d’Elegance will celebrate its silver Anniversary with some of the biggest names and brands in the automotive industry. The weekend will kick off with the conclusion of the inaugural Mille Miglia North America Tribute, a three-day, 1,000 mile road rally traversing California’s Central Coast and Northern California roadways. Saturday’s program will feature the Worldwide Classics Automotive Show, while Sunday will host the traditional Concours d’Elegance.

Weekend festivities will also include the 2nd Annual Vino d’Elegance, featuring tastings from some of California’s finest wineries, exclusive cooking demonstrations from “Hell’s Kitchen” Chef Scott Liebfried, and book signings by author of the best-selling novel Sideways and the recently released Vertical Rex Pickett.
