NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--THE NAKED AND FAMOUS (TNAF) are set to launch their latest North American trek on October 6 at the Phoenix Concert Theatre in Toronto, ON.
Still supporting their UNIVERSAL REPUBLIC RECORDS debut, PASSIVE ME, AGGRESSIVE YOU, the spellbinding New Zealand electro rock machine will undoubtedly bewitch audiences on their 14 date tour supported by buzz acts Chain Gang of 1974 and White Arrows.
Time Out Chicago called TNAF’s Lollapalooza set "super hooky", adding while "artier moments may boost their credibility, by gosh the neon-clad teens in the crowd freaked out for the pop nuggets".
The online buzz for TNAF’s eye-catching videos, already clocking in at close to 15 million views, is also growing with latest clip “The Sun” picking up a host of hipster endorsements and hundreds of thousands of views despite an immediate ban from Youtube for R-18 visuals. It's dark and daring, just like everything the group does.
THE NAKED AND FAMOUS's new single, "Punching in a Dream", follow up to the Alternative Radio Top 10 hit “Young Blood”, was the #1 most added song at Alternative radio.
Meanwhile, the New Zealand group show that they have not been forgotten in their home country despite being away on tour all year. They had already collected the country’s top songwriting prize for “Young Blood” and this week it was announced that TNAF won two technical awards for best production and engineering for Passive Me Aggressive You. The group are finalists in a record-breaking seven more major categories for the New Zealand Music Awards in November.
