NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Orta Blu, the sustainability division of Orta, will be delivering “Jeans & Pizza” to the homeless youth of Covenant House New York on Sept. 2nd.
Orta Blu Genes are jeans produced in collaboration with fashion designers for charitable donations. In this case, Los Angeles based fashion designers ROARK Collective will be designing jeans for delivery to Covenant House New York.
During the event, youth from Covenant House New York will be able to select and try on their new pair of jeans as well as exchange an older pair of jeans if they would like, so they can be recycled and used for future programs.
Covenant House is an international non-governmental organization whose mission it is to tackle the problem of homeless youth world wide. Unlike traditional nightly shelters, Covenant House has a live-in program which aims to turn its inhabitants into stable self-sufficient indivuals.
