Ring2 Partners with ViVu to Simplify the Web Conferencing Experience

Bridging the Gap from Basic Audio-Only Dial-in to a Richer Meeting Experience

SAN FRANCISCO--()--Ring2, the company focused on simplifying and improving everyday conferencing and collaboration, today announced a global partnership with ViVu, a leader in desktop and mobile collaboration services. Ring2 will leverage ViVu’s API and desktop sharing capability as part of a major new release of its everyday meetings solution.

Despite advances in conferencing technology, more than 90 percent of remote meetings remain basic audio-only dial-in calls. Mainstream users, who have neither the time nor inclination to be trained on complex collaboration solutions, are still 'emailing out the slides,' validating the requirement for a different kind of web conferencing experience. Having pioneered strongly-adopted web and mobile applications that overcome everyday frustrations with audio conferencing, Ring2 is now taking its everyday meetings solution a step further by guiding its customers in a really clear and intuitive way towards a live information-sharing capability.

“Beyond its outstanding technology, ViVu brings a philosophy that meshes perfectly with Ring2’s worldview – allowing us to innovate simple, yet powerful solutions which will actually be used by everyday people,” said Michael Hughes, Ring2’s Co-CEO.

“ViVu is excited to partner with an industry innovator like Ring2,” said Sudha Valluru, Founder and CEO, ViVu. “ViVu’s robust desktop sharing capabilities are designed to make it as streamlined as possible for users to collaborate from any platform. Working together with Ring2, we look forward to extending these capabilities even further through integration within its solution.”

Ring2 is currently beta testing its major new release, which will formally launch in November, 2011.
