DUBLIN--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/896f26/poland_petrochemic) has announced the addition of the "Poland Petrochemicals Report Q3 2011" report to their offering.
Poland Petrochemicals Report provides industry professionals and strategists, corporate analysts, petrochemical associations, government departments and regulatory bodies with independent forecasts and competitive intelligence on Poland's petrochemicals industry.
The appreciation of the zloty is the main risk to Polish petrochemicals production in 2011 and will further orientate the industry to increasing domestic consumption, according to BMI's latest Poland Petrochemicals Report. In the construction sector, a major consumer of PVC in Poland, BMI expects that by 2013 Poland will no longer outperform the regional average growth. This slowdown in growth seen in 2010 is forecast to continue over the medium term, with the country unlikely to see growth rates of above 5% for some considerable time. Between 2011 and 2015, real growth of 3.5% year-on-year (y-o-y) is anticipated. Nevertheless, the rate of growth should ensure a sustained return to full capacity at Anwil's VCM and PVC plants at Wloclawek, which are reliant on the construction industry as a major customer base.
The country's export-oriented automotive industry will be crucial to determining the market for moulded plastic products. Automotive production in Poland fell marginally in 2010, by 1.4% year-on-year (y-o-y), to 887,241 units, according to estimates from the country's autos research agency, Samar. This was the second consecutive annual decline in vehicle production in the country. BMI blames this on the exportoriented nature of Polish auto production, as the country is one of the major production hubs for Western Europe. Despite the declines BMI believes that Poland is fairly well placed to achieve production growth averaging 5% a year between 2011 and 2015, and BMI expect the country to be producing more than 1mn units a year as early as 2013.
