LAKE JACKSON, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Ron Paul 2012 Presidential Campaign announced today the national “Gun Owners for Ron Paul” coalition to energize voters who value their Second Amendment rights.

Recently Congressman Paul (TX-14) re-introduced legislation to repeal the federal Gun Free School Zone Act (GFSZA), misguided legislation that has the unintended consequence of leaving schoolchildren and adults vulnerable in or around schools in instances where a gun is used in the commission of a crime. Second Amendment rights supporters praised Dr. Paul for H.R. 2613, the “Citizens Protection Act of 2011,” and for advocating for responsible gun owners to freely exercise their right to defend innocent life against criminals – who do not observe firearms prohibitions.
