BURBANK, Calif.--()--Disney Interactive Studios today announced that Phineas and Ferb: Across the Second Dimension is now available for the Wii™, Nintendo DS™ and PlayStation®3 computer entertainment systems. Based on Disney Channel's Emmy Award-winning "Phineas and Ferb," the #1 animated TV series among tweens 9-14, this action-packed video game was developed to complement the upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie "Phineas and Ferb: Across the 2nd Dimension" which debuts in North America on Disney Channel, August 5 (8:00 p.m., ET/PT). In the video game Phineas and Ferb: Across the 2nd Dimension, players can play as some of their favorite characters from the show, including Phineas, Ferb, Agent P and an exclusive new character known as Agent T, as they journey through different worlds in an effort to defeat the notoriously evil Dr. Doofenshmirtz.

Phineas and Ferb: Across the 2nd Dimension allows players to experience their beloved characters from the show in a brand new way,” said Dan Povenmire, Emmy Award-winning creator/executive producer, “Phineas and Ferb.” “Immersive features like the colorful environments, cool gadgets and entertaining levels in the game are sure to bring the movie to life, allowing fans to experience the extraordinary adventures of Phineas and Ferb like never before.”

Phineas and Ferb: Across the 2nd Dimension introduces a rookie agent and exclusive character to the game, Terry the Turtle, or Agent T, as he is referred to by his counterparts at the O.W.C.A (the Organization Without a Cool Acronym). Tough and reliable, Agent T’s special skill is being extra resistant to attacks. Players will have the chance to get more familiar with Agent T as they journey through different levels in the game.

The PlayStation 3 system and Wii versions of the game allow fans to play as one of ten characters, having the option to work together in drop-in, two-player cooperative modes. Players navigate through seven different worlds and 25 thrilling levels, including a world of gelatin, a world of bouncy balloons and an old-school cartoon world, in a mission to save the Tri-State area. They also use cool and power-packed new gadgets to defeat Dr. Doofenshmirtz, including a Carbonator that fires orange soda in order to melt enemies.

The PlayStation 3 system version features four episodes of the Disney Channel series “Phineas and Ferb” marking the first Sony hybrid disc that includes both a game and TV episodes on a single disc. Episodes include: “I Scream, You Scream,” “Mom’s Birthday,” “Dude, We’re Getting the Band Back Together” and “Comet Kermillian.” The PlayStation 3 system version will also be the first time a Phineas and Ferb video game features PlayStation®Move motion controller compatible gameplay.

In the Nintendo DS version of Phineas and Ferb: Across the 2nd Dimension, fans play as Phineas, Ferb or Agent P as they venture through and master battle techniques in five outrageous worlds and environments. Featuring more than 30 levels, this version also allows players to earn gadget upgrades, including a baseball launcher and Agent P’s favorite gadget, the grapple gadget, all while solving puzzles in an effort to save the Tri-State area.

Fans will also notice that several of the actors from the popular animated series voice the Wii and PlayStation 3 system versions of the game, including Vincent Martella as Phineas, Thomas Sangster as Ferb and Alyson Stoner as Isabella, as well as show creators/executive producers Dan Povenmire as Dr. Doofenshmirtz and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh as Major Francis Monogram.

Published by Disney Interactive Studios, the Wii and PlayStation 3 system versions of Phineas and Ferb: Across the 2nd Dimension are rated E 10+, while the Nintendo DS version is rated E for Everyone by the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB).
