OAKLAND, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Blaylock Robert Van, LLC., a leading minority-owned investment bank and financial services company, announced today it has hired fixed income veteran Alan Jones as a senior vice president.
Mr. Jones has more than three decades of experience in financial services, and has held several senior-level positions throughout the industry, including Utendahl Capital Partners and Aladdin Capital.

Previously, Mr. Jones was co-founder and managing partner of A.R. Jones & Associates, LLC; a consultancy focused on assisting growth companies to develop and implement their financial strategies, and Rampant Venture Group, a venture capital firm specializing in advising and investing in early stage companies across various markets.
Mr. Jones is a member of the Board of Directors of Eastern Light Capital, and serves as the chairman of the nominating and corporate governance committee. In addition, Mr. Jones is a Board Member and Treasurer of Rafael North Properties Inc., and Treasurer of the Marin Covenant Church in San Rafael, California.
Mr. Jones earned his BA from Dartmouth College, and his MBA from the Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Jones is also a graduate and current Trustee of the Phillips Exeter Academy. He currently holds Series 7, 24 and 63 licenses.
