Nick Toon Named Vice President, UK Public Policy at Time Warner Limited

NEW YORK--()--Time Warner Inc. today announced that Nick Toon will join the company's policy department as Vice President, UK Public Policy in London. Mr. Toon will report to Carol Melton, Executive Vice President for Global Public Policy, and will oversee the company’s engagement with key UK government officials and stakeholders on a wide range of public policy matters relevant to the company’s businesses. Mr. Toon will work directly with each of the company’s businesses – Warner Bros., Turner, HBO and IPC Media in the U.K. He will officially begin his role on August 22nd.

Mr. Toon joins from Channel 4 where he is currently Director of Corporate Relations. In this post he managed Channel 4's public policy agenda and led efforts to secure passage of the 2010 Digital Economy Act. Nick joined Channel 4 as Head of Public Affairs in 2004. Prior to joining Channel 4 he was Controller of Public Affairs at ITV Network, where he oversaw the organization’s efforts on the Communications Act 2003.
