Wonacott Communications, a full-service independent public relations and integrated communications agency, has added Katie Gerber as vice president, interactive entertainment and consumer technology to the award-winning agency’s team. With more than 11 years’ experience in the technology, video gaming and entertainment industries, Katie will provide senior-level counsel for Wonacott’s interactive entertainment and consumer electronics clients while helping to expand new business for the company.

Katie comes from Atomic Public Relations where she worked with a variety of clients ranging from major consumer electronics manufacturers, including Pioneer Electronics and Sony Electronics, to independent online game publishers. Prior to that, Katie worked for Disney Interactive Media Group, where she focused her efforts on evolving the growing family friendly online gaming business and worked on major franchises including Cars, Club Penguin, Disney Fairies and Pirates of the Caribbean.

She later moved on to represent a variety of consumer tech and entertainment accounts including Hotwire, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, THQ and Newegg.com, among others. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communications, with a focus on TV and video production, from Santa Clara University.
