Eltek Valere Awarded Contract To Power Industrial Systems on Major European Wind Farm

Harsh offshore conditions and remote location require high performance, reliable power supplies

DRAMMEN, Norway--()--Eltek Valere, the world leader in high efficiency power systems, today announced that it has received an order to supply 30 DC industrial power systems to a major European offshore wind farm located in the North Sea.

Each windmill installation will have both a 24V and 48V DC power system and auxiliary system to power emergency lighting and emergency escape route lighting systems, the cathodic corrosion protection system, the loading crane on the maintenance platform and the radar container. The Eltek Valere power systems were chosen because they offer the industry’s highest performance and reliability for harsh conditions.

Eltek Valere has a long history in supplying power solutions for control of power generation, transmission and distribution equipment, including renewable energy. The company’s Industrial Power Division is an important and fast-growing segment for the company.
