MONTERREY, N.L. Mexico & DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--ALFA, S.A.B. de C.V. (ALFA) and AT&T* today announced that ALFA had finalized its purchase of AT&T’s 49 percent stake in Alestra, S. de R.L. de C.V. (Alestra), the Mexican telecom company. Following the close of the transaction, which was originally announced in April 2011, ALFA is now the sole shareholder of Alestra.
The transaction was approved by regulatory authorities in Mexico. The amount of the transaction was not disclosed.
