NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Horizon Kinetics LLC, a private, value-oriented global investment firm with approximately $9.5 billion under management, announced that Steve Butler, former Director of Consultant Relations at Corbin Capital Partners will join the firm as Head of Institutional Sales, effective immediately. In this role, Mr. Butler will be responsible for marketing Horizon Kinetics’s long only and alternative investments to the institutional investment community.

Mr. Butler has more than 19 years of experience as a sales and client service professional in the financial services industry. At Corbin, a New York-based hedge fund of funds firm with nearly $2.7 billion in assets under management, Mr. Butler was responsible for Corbin's consultant relations effort. Prior to joining Corbin, he held senior sales, consultant relations and client service roles at Evercore Asset Management and AllianceBernstein. Mr. Butler received a B.S. in Marketing from Santa Clara University.
