RaptorAccelerator Partners with Tickets-for-Charity®

BOSTON--()--RaptorAccelerator today announced that it is has partnered with Tickets-for-Charity®, an innovative platform that offers fans tickets for high-demand live events where every purchase benefits charity – all for the same or better price available elsewhere. RaptorAccelerator will assist Tickets-for-Charity as it expands its offering and increases charitable impact on more than 100 local and national charities.

Launched as a pilot program with the Rolling Stones’ A Bigger Bang tour in 2005/2006, Tickets-for-Charity was founded to help performing artists and sports teams redirect a portion of the billions of dollars made by ticket scalpers and unauthorized resellers in the secondary market to deserving non-profit organizations. Tickets-for-Charity converts the premium above face value that consumers are currently paying unauthorized brokers and scalpers for great seats often sold out at the box office into charitable donations to charities designated by artists, teams and consumers at www.ticketsforcharity.com.

“We are thrilled to be working with Tickets-for-Charity, which provides the first compelling, socially responsible alternative to the multi-billion dollar secondary event ticketing market,” said Mark Pannes and Sean Barror, Directors of RaptorAccelerator. “We see significant expansion opportunities for this fundraising platform throughout the sports and entertainment industries and look forward to working closely with Tickets-for-Charity to achieve rapid, scalable growth.”

“While Tickets-for-Charity has already generated millions of dollars in donations by collaborating with some of the biggest names in sports and entertainment from James Taylor and Katy Perry to the Boston Red Sox, we believe we’ve just scratched the surface when it comes to the substantial charitable benefit we expect to help our partners create,” said Jord Poster, Founder and CEO of Tickets-for-Charity. “We are confident that the expertise of RaptorAccelerator will accelerate our expansion, particularly in the realm of professional sports, which represents enormous additional social impact potential.”
