AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Patient Recruiting Agency™ announces the recruitment of patients for a medical research study for those who suffer major depressive disorder.
The research study will take place in multiple study facilities across the United States and Canada. Research study participants must suffer from symptoms of depression and be adult males or females 18 to 75 years of age. The objective of this study is to evaluate the efficacy, safety and tolerability of an investigational medication in treating major depressive disorder.
Major depressive disorder is a serious mental illness in which patients may experience one or more depressive episodes. Depression affects approximately 18 million adults in the United States at a given time and 15% of the adult population worldwide is at lifetime risk of major depressive disorder. With an estimated percentage of only 60% to 70% of all patients that take antidepressants responding to current antidepressant treatments, there is a need for more options to treat major depressive disorder. New research and advancements in drug therapy depend upon volunteers participating in research studies.
For more information about the research study, please call toll-free 1-877-569-8842 or visit www.ifeelblue.com/?sid=23&aid=1&tid=1. Volunteers may participate in a pre-screening questionnaire to determine their potential eligibility in the study.
