The Biggest Energy Saver campaign encourages Texas residents to reduce their energy usage during the summer when energy bills are historically highest. To help consumers manage their energy usage, the Biggest Energy Saver website at www.biggestenergysaver.com, which launches June 13, will provide consumers with resources on ways to save electricity. |

To inspire consumers to reduce their residential energy consumption, the Biggest Energy Saver includes a challenge to educate consumers and promote use of their smart meters to manage energy usage. In the Oncor and CenterPoint service territories, residential customers could receive prizes such as new plug-in electric vehicles or smart home appliances equipped to communicate with smart meters. Software application developers will also compete for more than $150,000 in prizes. | ||
