SCHAUMBURG, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--American InterContinental University (AIU) Online is enhancing its award-winning Virtual Campus learning experience to make it more mobile than ever before.
AIU Online has launched a suite of free apps that allows students to take their classrooms on-the-go and makes an online education as convenient and flexible as possible. AIU Mobile now offers new apps for Android-enabled devices and the iPad, as well as updated apps for the iPhone and iPod Touch.
“Many of our students have full-time jobs and families, so they need a school experience that is designed around them,” said Steve Tober, CEO of American InterContinental University and president of AIU Online, one of the leading providers of career-focused online education. “Now students can keep up with key parts of their AIU education from a range of mobile devices anytime or anywhere.”
AIU Mobile apps allow students to access several of the most commonly used features of AIU Online’s Virtual Campus, including:
- Viewing class assignments;
- Checking discussion boards;
- Checking grades;
- Viewing announcements;
- Viewing faculty information; and
- Contacting faculty.
Students also can access these features and others from their smartphone’s web browser at https://mobile.aiuonline.edu.
AIU Online released its first mobile app for the iPhone in December 2010. Since then, AIU Mobile apps have been downloaded thousands of times.
