WALTHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Q1 Labs, the global provider of total security intelligence solutions, today announced that it has appointed Brendan Hannigan as its chief executive officer, effective immediately.
Mr. Hannigan brings more than 24 years of industry experience to his role as chief executive officer. Previously as President and Chief Operating Officer of Q1 Labs, Mr. Hannigan was responsible for the company's overall day-to-day operations. Hannigan joined Q1 Labs in November 2003 as vice president of marketing, and was promoted to executive vice president of marketing and product engineering in March 2004. He was later named COO in April 2006, and became president and COO in December 2007.

Hannigan is a technology industry veteran with 24 years of industry experience. Before joining Q1 Labs, he served in a variety of senior marketing and product-development roles at Sockeye Networks, Forrester Research, Wellfleet Communications, Digital Equipment Corp. and Motorola. Hannigan graduated with honors in computer science from University College, Dublin, Ireland.
Shaun McConnon, the company’s previous CEO, becomes the executive chairman of the board, and remains actively engaged in the strategic activities and direction of the company.
