DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--This year Mother’s Day shoppers are looking for more personal gifts, according to a recent survey from FedEx Office, an operating company of FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX). In fact, 79 percent of Americans polled say they plan to give a Mother’s Day gift that has been personalized in some way to match the tastes and style of the recipient.
The survey also found that 40 percent will be customizing an item commonly available in stores to make a unique gift. Another 39 percent say they will give a gift that is completely personalized and original, like a photo book or homemade item.
Despite this shift towards giving unique and personal gifts to Moms, some continue to struggle in their efforts to find the right present. Challenges reported by those surveyed include lack of money (40 percent), lack of time (45 percent) and lack of creativity or ideas (28 percent).
