LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--This week at the 2011 National Association of Broadcasters Show (NAB), MPS Broadband announced the launch of the live streaming technology Peer2View™ .
Based upon cutting edge Swedish research, Peer2View™ optimally solves the network congestion problem. Peer2View™ is built for distribution of live events and linear TV over the internet and corporate networks. The solution scales infinitely with up to 99.9% bandwidth savings.
“After almost five years of development and testing we are finally ready for launch. Peer2View™ is ISP and Network friendly. By keeping traffic local, and with support for Microsoft Silverlight we combine the efficiency of Peer2View™ with Microsoft Internet Information Services (ISS) Smooth Streaming,” says Anders Nilsson, CEO, MPS Broadband.
“Making Peer2View™ available on Windows Azure, together with the functionality of our proprietary MPS Publishing Platform® (MPP) and seamless CDN fallback, we are geared to change the concept of live and linear TV over IP. We call it IPTV 2.0,” added Nilsson.
Peer2View™ (Patent Pending) is a structured P2P technology based upon a cutting edge mathematical algorithm, which optimally solves the peer assignment problem.
