NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Lotame today announced that it has chosen Evidon as exclusive provider of its compliance services for management of the Digital Advertising Alliance’s Self-Regulatory Program for Online Behavioral Advertising. The agreement brings Evidon’s Assurance Platform -- Evidon InForm -- and Analytics tools to all advertisers and publishers using Lotame’s audience data management platform.
Through the partnership, Lotame will provide its clients with Evidon’s industry-standard method for demonstrating compliance with the DAA program. Evidon InForm enables simple and scalable implementation of the Advertising Option Icon into display ads and websites, and gives consumers access to and control over how their information is collected and used, with the option of opting out altogether. Lotame’s publisher partners also have the option of using Evidon’s InLight product to gain a clearer view of data collection across the internet. Using InLight will require a separate agreement between publisher and Evidon.
“Lotame’s targeting and analytics platform, Crowd Control, is designed to be the premiere solution for helping advertisers and publishers capitalize on targeted display,” said Andy Monfried, CEO of Lotame. “Partnering with Evidon lets us include compliance solutions in our technology package, making Crowd Control a more powerful revenue generating tool.”
Evidon is the first company designated by the Digital Advertising Alliance as an Approved Provider of compliance services for the Self-Regulatory Principles for Online Behavioral Advertising (Principles). This includes the ability to deliver the Advertising Option (or Forward I) icon on behalf of companies who are participating in the self-regulatory program. The company’s Assurance Platform is operating at scale, delivering the Advertising Option Icon and corresponding notice in more than five billion monthly advertising impressions across the Internet for leading brands.
“Lotame’s decision shows that targeting technology providers understand the increased importance of transparency and trust,” said Scott Meyer, founder and CEO of Evidon. “Targeted display inventory is the hottest commodity in our industry right now, and every player that advocates self-regulation only strengthens our cause.”
Evidon is the leading technology company enabling online advertising transparency, in no small part through its leadership role in the Open Data Partnership. An alliance of online behavioral advertising companies, the Open Data Partnership gives consumers access to and control over the information those companies have collected about their interests directly from an ad impression or publisher site that uses Evidon’s platform.
