BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority has awarded a contract for program management and construction management of the Green Line extension project to the HDR/Gilbane Team, a joint venture of HDR Engineering, Inc. and Gilbane Building Company. The project will extend the Green Line, the nation’s oldest light rail line, from the existing Lechmere Station to Medford, Mass.
HDR/Gilbane’s role is preliminary design, design management, construction management and overall program management. The total program estimate is just over $950 million, and the extension is anticipated to be complete in 2015.
